This is an expensive way to spread the holidays they cheer.
Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Marissa Phillips displayed incredible team spirit this Christmas by gifting each person on her 40-member squad a Dyson Airwrap — with the holiday prize totaling $24,000. She then shared a video of them flaunting their luxury hair styling accessory in a video that took to Instagram.
“I’m giving these to my best friends tonight so come with me as I throw the best surprise ever,” Phillips, 24, wrote at the start of the touching clip, which featured her alongside a mountain of wrapped gifts.
“It’s kind of hard to get 40 girls in the same room at the same time, so we’re having a Christmas party tonight and my idea was to surprise them all with [the Airwraps] after the Christmas holiday, so I’ll organize it all [and] fixed,” she added. “They have their names on them, and we wrapped them all, so yes, I wrapped 40 individual boxes with the help of my beautiful fiancé.”
The clip then cuts to the squad members with their boxes as Philips gives them a pep talk about how they “deserve the world”.
Excited fans then tear open the gifts and reveal the expensive hair tools, which cost $599.99 each, not including tax or shipping.
The team members were over the moon for the warm gesture. “There’s absolutely no way,” gushed one of the cheery team spirit boosters.
“That was so iconic!! Thank you for doing this for us, we don’t deserve you,” Cowboys cheerleader McKenna Gehrke commented. “I LOVE ME WAIT TO USE IT.”
“I have to admit…we rocked this surprise!” added team member Karley Swindel.
Commenters were similarly moved with one writing, “Feedback is everything.”
“How sweet and generous of you,” praised another. “Christmas isn’t always about getting presents, it’s about giving joy.”
Dyson Airwraps, a hot-ticket item for beauty enthusiasts, allow users to blow-dry, curl, smooth and “hide flyaways” without “heat damage,” according to the site.
It also comes with six attachments: a smoothing Coanda blow dryer, hard smoothing brush, soft smoothing brush, round volumizer, a 1.6′ barrel and a 1.2′ barrel.
While a price tag of nearly $600 may seem steep, it seems possible that Phillips may have gotten some help from Dyson.
