If this terrace were a theater, the city would be its scene.
Tommy Tune, the famous choreographer 10-Toni award winner, performer and director, has reset his Penthouse in Manhattan for $ 2.9 million, Gimme Shelter has learned.
Charming Beekman/Sutton Place flats comes with a dramatic, 2,075 -square -foot terrace, where Tune held some memorable sirées over the years.
“I had a holiday away from [the late actress] Carol Channing and 200 Broadway friends appeared, ”Tune Gimme told by email.
The Penthouse, at 400 E. 52nd St., is in a building created by Emery Roth, developed by Bing & Bing in the late 1920s and early 1930s to be the latest in 2022 for 2.2 million-700,000 dollars less than its currency.
One -bedroom residence, with a bathroom is 900 square meters.
Known as the tower, it comes with a stage terrace and a qualified dance that represents stunning views of the rivers and the city.
“There are so many things I want for the tower,” Tune Gimme told. “I want you have to walk up to a staircase flight to reach the tower, and I want I can expect a holiday on my terrace.”
“I also love the 52nd route is a dead road. You really know everyone in Block-Madje [actress] Uma Thurman, ”Tune withdrew.
Tune also found it an inspiring place to create art. “I’ve created over 100 paintings in the tower,” Tune said, adding that he also loves “moistening in my jacuzzi and I can see Chrysler’s building.”
Design details within the pentouse include 13-legged ceilings-which with a tuning are especially evaluated for its 6-foot-6.5-inch frame. There are also solid wood floors, stage lighting and many windows to feature scenic views.
The house opens in a great room with a dining area and a kitchen of a chef. There is also a sunny bedroom.
The landscape roof deck contains an outdoor shower and sink of an artist.
Tune, 86, bought the Penthouse in 2007 for about $ 1.3 million, according to reports.
The building returned co-op in 1987.
It is one of the five co-op designed Emery Roth buildings that make up a complex called Southgate, which has more than 400 units. Building facilities include a Doorman, a living resident manager, a garden, a laundry room, a bike room and individual rented or purchase.
“I love the community that offers Southgate,” Tune said.
Douglas Broker Eliman Kelly Killoren Bensimon, a “Rhony” reality star alum of reality that is ranking Tune’s apartment, agreed.
As for the price raised, she said Gimme: “Rarehs to see such an iconic living space accompanied by a wide outdoor terrace in the hearts of Illustrous Beekman and Sutton Place.
“With supply and demand, insufficiency and limited inventory are the characteristics of the new real estate archetype, this pentouse is like a Birkin [bag]. Rarely Rareths – like finding a needle in a ribbon, ”Bensimon added.
Tune also owns an additional pentouse in the Southgate complex at 414 E. 52nd St., which was also on the market for four months last year – for $ 2.3 million – before it was hiding in July. The list brokers were Corcoran’s Leighton Candler, Jennifer Reardon and Bradley Comisar. This is also a one -bedroom roof, a roof with a bathroom with a wrapped terrace that features river and city views.
Tune bought that unit, which was once a 12 -legged ceilings lounge for about $ 1.4 million in 2013 and enjoying having fun there, playing Croquet on the terrace and waiting for Guild Fireworks like Lauren Bacall, according to the New York Times.
The beloved icon of Texan origin, which has become synonymous with broadway and entertainment over the decades, also owns a home in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
