This was a wrong Christmas card.
A mother was shocked to discover her young son was the only one wearing different pajamas in a Christmas card that included his father, stepmother and half-siblings.
A TikTokker named Taylor — who goes by @craveslim online — explained the situation in several viral posts as she asked viewers if they thought she had a right to be upset.
Taylor began her first TikTok video on the frustration by explaining that she and her ex trade who takes care of their son every other weekend.
She said that when her ex contacted her and asked her to pick up their son from school and have him for the weekend – when he was supposed to be with her – she had no problem and agreed to pack her bags and make the hair. for the stay.
“My father never told me anything about these photos,” she insisted.
That was only part of the reason she was shocked when she saw the photos on Christmas Day.
When Taylor looked at the images featuring her 5-year-old son, his father, stepmother and two younger half-siblings, she was upset that everyone but her son was in green pajamas; instead, he was in a black and red suit that she sent him to wear to sleep.
“I’m like, ‘OK, cool, but why doesn’t my son have the same pajamas as everyone else?'” she asked her ex, who claimed they were out of stock.
She said she told her ex she didn’t believe him and then explained the situation in a Facebook post, adding that the pajamas her son was pictured wearing were last year’s Christmas pajamas.
“Am I wrong to be upset?” Taylor asked. “They could have at least gotten him new pajamas,” she said in a second TikTok video, but clarified that “her whole problem is that [her] the boy didn’t fit in with everyone else.
The distraught mother said she assumed the photo shoot was already booked for the weekend when her ex wasn’t supposed to have their son, and questioned why her son backed out of the photo shoot at the last minute, only to go out for because of his inappropriate clothing.
“My child should never have been there; therefore, my child was never part of the plan,” Taylor said.
“I feel like the father should have left my son at home with me, and then all of this would have been avoided.”
Taylor explained that she believes her ex had a last-minute change of heart and wanted to include their son, but said that if that was the case, everyone should have gotten new pajamas.
She ended the series of videos by insisting that she never blamed her ex’s partner, Riya Lee.
“The Internet blamed it. I never blamed him. I always blamed my dad,” Taylor claimed. “I blamed my father because this is his father! If anything, he is responsible – this is his child!”
However, Lee did not appreciate the online call.
She responded with her Facebook post, admitting that her 5-year-old son was added to the photo shoot at the last minute by his father. Lee claimed that she searched for a matching set and expressed that she “didn’t feel comfortable that he didn’t match” but that it was “too late” and she didn’t want to leave him out.
Despite this, Taylor made sure family drama didn’t spoil her son’s Christmas party and bought matching pajamas for both of them.
“He really enjoyed Christmas,” she told People, adding that the two cuddled, watched movies and drank hot chocolate.
