“When I was older, I couldn’t even walk into my parents’ house without feeling like I couldn’t breathe and I had palpitations and they only lived 10 minutes away, which was no way to live.”

Her frustration and resentment grew as she grew older.

“When I got pregnant with my second child, I felt like giving up. I was already a size 26 at this point and I just felt like I wasn’t going to be able to lose any more weight again,” Morrison said.

After going on vacation and realizing that the shame she harbored about her weight was preventing her from making memories with her children, Morrison decided to get serious about getting in shape and feeling confident in her body.

She felt like she’d tried “every diet in the book,” but nothing “really stuck” until she stopped trying restrictive diets and added simple exercise with her kids Rubie, 2, and Broden, 4, to her routine. her two years ago. .

“Exercising with the kids helped me so much – I could never handle the right weights, but I really wanted to put in the effort and lose weight, so using my kids was the next best thing,” Morrison said.

“By doing everything at home, I was able to just go at my own pace, which was very helpful because there was no pressure to do things a certain way.”

The determined young mother holds her children in her arms as she goes through her fast-paced workout routine of pushing five minutes of squats, shoulder presses, planks and arm curls.

She also installed a pole in her garage for a pole dancing gym.

“People underestimate how useful it is to create unique workouts and how much you can do at home,” Morrison said.

She also changed her eating habits to stick to a 1,500-calorie diet, but still allows herself to enjoy burgers and pizza as long as it fits her calories.

Diet-wise, I still try to eat as well as I can, but it’s not the end of the world if I don’t have a protein shake for breakfast every day, because it still is. better than how I was eating,” Morrison said.

With her routine, the mother of two has dropped 100 pounds in two years, shrinking from a size 26 to a size 10.

But the best part is that she never has to leave her children; instead, she gives them playtime.

“My kids love that I get them involved in training, they love joining in, so we do that a few times a week,” she said. “All I want to do next is tone up and build muscle, just to look good and feel totally good about myself.”

And she will stick to her successful methods to do so.

“The kids will definitely still be used as weights to get me there!”
